A little bit about me
Get Set came to pass in 2018 following two major life events I experienced in quick succession. First, we were blessed with the birth of our first child Miles, and just three months later, I was struck with the sudden loss of my mother. Having just started this incredible but equally overwhelming journey of first-time parenthood another unexpected journey began.

As I was planning the funeral it reminded me of when I was pregnant and how surprised I was that there wasn't one simple resource that focused on the practical areas to help get our lives organised for baby. I spent hours searching the internet and talking to friends to pick up advice here and there, and then subsequent hours creating the relevant lists and templates.

Starting with expectant parents and our mums to be, I launched GET SET Mum.
We are just beginning, and I'm excited about what's to come to support all expectant parents-to-be! But for now, please enjoy our
Complete Guide to Buying for Baby.

During pregnancy you have a short amount of time to make a lot of decisions, with an accompanying never-ending 'to-do list'. I needed something that would guide me each step of the way, from what to do week by week (such as medical appointments, work admin and antenatal classes) to knowing what to buy for baby (and why), and how to prepare for labour, so I could be organised and feel reassured and confident to make decisions with ease.

Coming from a career in international business development, where planning and preparation are paramount to success, I naturally wanted to apply these skills to help bring about positive change around some of the issues I personally faced, and to support individuals going through the same experiences.
